Reporting Phone Chat Callers

Reporting phone chat callers.
Reporting phone chat callers.

At Authorsroundthesouth, we want our callers to have the best possible phone chat experience. However, you may occasionally encounter users with annoying behaviors on chat lines. We encourage users to report callers who exhibit bad manners or attitudes to the staff on the phone lines.

Ideal Callers to Report

Phone lines are private, but if a caller receives consecutive warnings, moderators will notify the caller of random monitoring measures against their account. If moderators determine that a caller is ruining the experience for others, they will remove the user from the chat line platform.

Bad Responses.

If a caller is giving you rude answers or pushing topics you’ve told them you’re not interested in, you can end the phone chat and report the caller to the moderators.

Sharing Private Information.

If a caller shares private information with you during their first phone call, they’re risking their safety and have probably done it before. By reporting this type of caller, you’re doing them a favor, as our team will contact the caller and notify them of their mistake.

Asking for Private Information.

If a caller asks for your private information during the first conversation, they are violating the privacy policy of every phone chat line company. Don’t hesitate to report this type of caller, as they might pose a threat to the community and ruin the experience for other callers.

Promoting Other Platforms.

Over the years, we’ve encountered users promoting their social media handles on the phone lines with the sole intention of gaining extra exposure online. Reporting these callers will help improve the overall experience for genuine callers on the phone chat line.

How to Report a Caller

Notifying moderators of harassing users is simple and helps maintain the chat line community. Some moderators may even reward reporting users with extra minutes as a token of appreciation for their support.

1. End the Phone Chat Conversation.

End the phone chat conversation with the harassing caller. You’re not required to record or prove anything to any moderator. Simply leave the conversation and wait for the voice prompt instructions.

2. Dial #9 to Report the Caller.

After ending the conversation, dial #9 on your telephone keypad so moderators can receive the notification and become aware of the incident.

3. User Warnings.

If a moderator receives multiple report notifications about a specific user, the moderators will flag and notify the offending account to start monitoring their chat line activity.

4. User Account Suspension.

If a phone chat moderator determines that a user is negatively impacting the experience for other callers on the phone line, they will revoke the user’s access to the chat line. Phone chat lines reserve the right to permanently suspend an account from calling again, even if the user has paid minutes remaining on their account.
