Activities included in the Read-a-thon October 17-18 include bedtime story (Rachel Glazer), midnight snack, and morning stretch.  Authors appearing include Mack Abbot, Malcolm R. Campbell on Friday.  Saturday in order of appearance are bookbinder Raymond Cagle (bring your old/damaged books for repair), authors Gordon Sawyer, Susan May, Mack Abbott, Debbie Clark and Jenna Maclaine. Native American performer Barry Bailey will provide some afternoon reading background music.  Gail Hogan and Molly Glazer will hold youngsters captive during the children’s storytime hour.  The complete schedule/times should be posted by the end of this weekend at www.hallbookexchange.com and www.myspace.com/hallbookexchange .

Please call 770-532-6693 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday to schedule your time to read.  You can pick up a pledge sheet at Hall Book Exchange.  Remember…we are asking for $10 per hour minimum pledge per reader when you sign up by October 16th.  October 17-18 there will be $25 per person donation to participate.  Click on the link to read more about the Gainesville/Hall County Alliance for Literacy.
