From the Wilmington Star News: Wilmington, NC--
Two Sisters Bookery has new owners. Brooks Preik and daughter Angela Carr took over the independent bookstore in Wilmington's downtown Cotton Exchange complex as of June 30. Preik, the author of Haunted Wilmington and the Cape Fear Coast, was an editor of Spirit of the Carolinas magazine and has been a contributor to Wilmington Magazine, published by the Star-News. Cathy Stanley, who had owned Two Sisters since 2002, announced plans to sell the store in early June, citing the problems of running both it and DeeGee's, a bookstore and gift shop in Morehead City. "I'm thrilled the store went to longtime customers," Stanley said, "and I'm excited it went to someone from Wilmington." Offers for the store had come in "from all over," she added. Preik and Carr said they planned no immediate changes in the store, and most of the staff is staying on for the time being. .
