From the Columbia City Paper:
The Happy Bookseller will be gone forever in a few more weeks. On a community level, we suffer the loss of yet another irreplaceable local business. From The Island Reporter
The Island Book Nook will reopen in mid-October under new ownership.

Mary Gayle Skinner will serve as store manager. The business will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in the Hungry Heron Plaza at 2330 Palm Ridge Road, Suite #11. The main theme of the nook is to buy and sell used paperback books...

"It largely came from watching the other bookstores close," he says. "I grew up going to The Bookstack and with Books-A-Million leaving, I just thought we need to have a bookstore downtown."
Bookworks opened Wednesday and Ramsey says he tries to carry a wide variety of new releases as well as classics...read full story
