Identity Chasers

On Friday, February 5, 2010 Burry Bookstore is hosting an author meet and greet from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Author Nefateri Pecou will be signing copies of Identity Chasers. This event is free and open to the public. Identity Chasers - I often sit and watch as people run from paycheck to paycheck jobs, ruined friendships leading to failed marriages, which are attached to the backs of their broken past. The stench of defeat surrounds them like a shield. Sadly enough some don't know who they are without the baggage their past has produced. I was asked the very blatant question one day that sent me into a spiraling quest... "Who are you?" For one of the first times in my life my mind went completely blank. I knew my name, my parents, who my children were, my job title, and my position in the ministry. But for the life of me I really did not know who I was. Yet this book is a result of my taking off the many masks that I wear. And now that I have been given the liberty of knowing who I am, I have been forced to ask you... "Who are you?" Nefateri Pecou currently serves as Pastor of City of Refuge located in Florence, South Carolina, under the covering of Rhema Global MInistries founded by Bishop Reginald and Co-Pastor Yvette Sellers. She is also the author of an autobiography entitled Cries From Within. Pastor Pecou is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is completing her certification as a Board Certified Christian Counselor.
